Optional Modules - Agency Edition

The functionality of the Agency Edition can be expanded to cover needs outside the core functionality of typical press agencies. The various modules below can enhance and improve agencies in the areas of news production, scheduling and integration with news portals, as well as the addition of news video production and distribution. These optional modules are offered as add-on solutions that can be easily incorporated with the other modules of the system.

Event Agenda & Scheduling Module

The Event Agenda & Scheduling module allows news managers to plan and organize coverage for upcoming events. The additional functionality allows any user with the appropriate permissions to allocate available human resources through detailed assignments in an interactive calendar environment. Features include:

· List upcoming news events by Date, Time and Location
· Assign writers and photographers, with notifications automatically sent
· Define Assignments by criteria such as language, department etc.

Web Input Module

Recently developed for a major European press agency. The Web Input Module allows external users such as agents, photographers and customers to easily upload any News Asset supported files through an easy to use Web Interface, and accessible from any Internet browser. Features include:

AGENTS - File Upload and Distribution
· Upload text documents, images, graphics and all supported file types to system folders
· Automatically includes users default meta data
· Eliminates the need for emailing and faxing files to the system from outside the office

CUSTOMERS - Press Release Service
· Corporate customers utilize the module for uploading and auto-distributing press releases.
· The system automatically archives and distributes the press release to all customers
· Customers define their own distribution schedule
· Customer takes all responsibility for executing the service
· Module eliminates Agency human resources for implenting service
· Integrates with statistical reports and customer billing systems

Subscriber Management Module

The Subscriber Management module allows the Agency Marketing and accounting departments to create, manage and administer all agency services. Features include the definition and support for:

· News service definition and price lists
· Customer subscription definition and management
· Customer billing and integration with back end system

Agency Portal

The Agency Portal add-on is designed to open up the power of Internet distribution and E-commerce advantages to news agencies, their customers and their employees. The Portal serves as the information gateway for existing subscribers and new customers offering access to all agency services and products. The Portal features:

Main access page with general information and presentation of available services
· New Subscribers can registration for news and image services etc.
· Top 15 daily news item headlines displayed
· Free access to all press releases

Secure customer login for access to subscription services with:
· Powerful news search tools
· Itemized list of all news items, downloadable from an easy to use news shopping basket
· Personalized messages presented automatically from the agency to the customer
· Separate Administer login and User login for each Customer to manage accounts
· List of available services and other agency products
· Supports Banner Advertising
· Utilizes XSL Style Sheets and templates for ease of management
· Integrates with other modules of the system and 3rd party systems
